Support staff who declare themselves candidates for public office shall notify the Superintendent immediately upon qualifying for election. They shall file with the Superintendent a written summary of their plans to conduct a campaign that will not interfere with fulfilling their obligation to the Board.

All candidates for public office may take personal leave without pay for thirty (30) days prior to the election.

Candidates shall adhere strictly to F.S. 104.31, regarding political activity on the part of public officials and employees.
