4421.01 - GROUP INSURANCE

Regular non-instructional employees are eligible for hospitalization, dental and any other medical benefit if they work a minimum of four (4) hours daily.

 A.The Board will pay the full cost of the single plan for eligible employees.

 B.The Board will pay a proportion of the difference between the cost of the single plan and the family plan, based on a work day of eight (8) hours. Proportionate shares shall be limited to one half (1/2), three fourths (3/4's), and full time.

Substitutes, student workers, and casual employees shall be excluded.

If an employee on medical leave has used all accumulated sick leave and all other resorts have been exhausted, the employee shall be responsible for payment of the full monthly premium for hospitalization and dental, etc., to the Treasurer of the Board, until such time as the employee is able to return to work.

Employees on a leave of absence may continue their hospitalization, dental and other insurances for a period of one (1) year through the Board of Education by paying the full amount of the premiums to the Treasurer on a regular monthly basis.
