The Board of Education recognizes that one of the greatest resources of the School District is to be found in the people of the community who have special knowledge and particular talents to contribute to the school program. Therefore, the Board encourages the use of community resource personnel to assist in furthering the educational program.

The Board wishes the professional staff to be concerned with locating and contacting people in various areas of interest and expertise who might serve as resource persons* in particular units of study. All requests to use such persons must receive prior approval from the principal.

*A person who is actively involved in the instructional program as a presenter and/or resource person to teachers.
