3120.01 - EMPLOYMENT OF ADMINISTRATORS

The Board of Education recognizes that it is vital to the successful operation of the District that administrative positions created by the Board be filled with highly qualified and competent personnel.

The Board shall approve the employment, fix the compensation, and establish the term of employment for each administrator employed by this District. Such approval shall be given only to those candidates for employment recommended by the Superintendent, except that the Board may, by a majority vote, reemploy an administrator whom the Superintendent refuses to nominate after considering two (2) nominees for the position.

The Superintendent shall develop procedures for the recruitment, screening, and recommendation of candidates for employment.

Each successful candidate for an administrative position shall sign a contract for a period not exceeding five (5) years.
