The Superintendent shall be responsible for the planning, development, and administration of procedures for selecting, ordering, distributing, and reevaluating instructional materials. Teachers and administrators involved in the use of particular instructional materials shall have a major role in selecting them for recommendation. Additionally, provisions shall be made for requesting input and reactions from parents when selecting textbooks and reevaluating instructional materials.

Textbooks shall be on the list of publishers approved by the State Department of Education. Adoptions are for a minimum of five (5) years but may be changed during that period by consent of four-fifths (4/5's) of the Board.
