1120 - MANAGEMENT TEAM CONCEPT

The Board of Education recognizes the importance of providing an effective management system for the school system. The quality of our school system is in a large measure dependent upon securing maximum utilization of all members of the management team which consists of the Board members and administrators of the District. The Board recognizes the importance of utilizing the professional knowledge and experience of its administrators as advisors in the direction of the schools. To this end the Board is committed to a management system which provides for participation from all members of the management team as they work to set goals, provide leadership, establish budgets, plan programs, supervise services, and develop policies and regulations for the operation of the District. The Board demonstrates its belief that administrators are key members of the management team by assuring meaningful participation, providing reasonable job security, assuring compensation commensurate with time, responsibility, and training requirements.

The Superintendent is directed to provide for placing into operation the provisions for implementing a participative team concept of school management.
