4400 - PLACEMENT ON THE SALARY SCHEDULE

The Board of Education retains the authority to specify the salary of new positions and to determine the credit to be awarded for placement on an existing salary schedule.

The Superintendent is authorized to credit for placement on the salary schedule past service on an applicant for employment in this District.

Each classified employee shall be informed annually of his/her salary by July 1st.

In order to advance one (1) step on a salary guide, an employee must have served at least 120 days of the prior contract year with the District.

Salary Guides

Not later than July 1st of each year all classified employees who hold a contract for the succeeding year will be notified of their salaries for the coming year.

All classified personnel must work 120 days prior to July 1st in order to move to the next year of experience on the salary schedule.

Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education will take action to approve the classified salary schedule prior to July 1st of any year.
