Any certified employee who is employed using the teacher's salary schedule as the basis of remuneration shall be issued a supplemental contract to cover any extended service time or additional duties.

Any such staff member who desires to enroll in workshops, seminars, or other training courses that occur during his/her period of extended service should make his/her request in writing to his/her supervisor along with the details on remuneration or maintenance fee. S/He must file the appropriate leave request form with his/her supervisor. No one shall be paid twice for the same work.

Those nonbargaining unit instructors whose extended service time is not reimbursed by State Vocational Funds will be paid at the current hourly rate established by the Board of Education. Each instructor on extended time will work six (6) hours per day at school and file a weekly time card with his/her supervisor on Friday of each week. Any exceptions must be cleared through their administrator. All extended service time must be completed by June 30th of each year.
