Ohio law requires that teachers, student personnel, and administrators hold the necessary certificate in order to be employed by the School District. No person shall receive any compensation for the performance of duties as a teacher, counselor, or administrator in the School District who has not obtained a certificate of qualification for the position and has not filed a copy of the same with the Treasurer. The Treasurer may pay a certificated employee for the service rendered during the first months of the annual school session provided such employee is the holder of a bachelor's degree or higher and has filed with the State Board of Education an application for the issuance of a provisional certificate or one of a higher grade.
