2411 - GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING
The Board of Education recognizes the importance of guidance and counseling in helping students prepare for their future.
The Superintendent may, as appropriate to the District's programs provide for guidance and counseling which will:
| A. | assist students in achieving their optimum growth; | |
| B. | enable students to draw the greatest benefit from the offerings of the instructional program of the District; | |
| C. | aid students in identifying options and making choices in vocational and educational planning; | |
| D. | assist students in career awareness and planning; | |
| E. | help integrate the student's school experience to life outside the school; | |
| F. | help students learn to make their own decisions and solve problems independently. |
Such guidance and counseling services should be integrated, when applicable, with those offered by the student's home district and other agencies.
