2131 - EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME GOALS

The Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School district believes it is the foremost desire of every individual to develop his/her abilities to the extent that s/he may feel personally worthwhile and be respected by others. In accepting this premise as the predominant motive of students, vocational school objectives aim at providing an educational setting, and educational experiences which will facilitate the achievement of this goal. Therefore, the objectives of education at the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School District are as follows:

 A.to enable each student to become competent and employable in an occupational skill;

 B.to provide instruction in areas of related knowledge which will permit each student to increase his/her opportunity to progress in a chosen occupation and to update those skills;

 C.to help each student in his/her attempt to become an increasingly successful person both economically and socially;

 D.to contribute to the welfare of the community and nation through the activities of each vocational school graduate as s/he leads a productive and satisfying life;

 E.to provide an educational setting which attests to our belief in the worth of every individual and attaches dignity to all socially useful labor;

 F.to instill in each individual the need and desire to long-life learning.
