5610.03 - SUSPENSION AND EXPULSION – EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

The Board of Education may include as part of an expulsion order a provision for the delivery of educational services.

If the District Administrator or designee determines that the most appropriate option for the provision of these services is at a site on school property, the Board allows for this as the only exception from the requirement that a student not be present on any school property during the length of the expulsion. The student may only be present on school property during the hours designated by the provisions of the service.

Similarly, the Board deems that all school rules shall apply when a student already under an expulsion order is receiving educational services at a site on school property or provided by the School District.

The District Administrator shall develop guidelines to assure that parents and/or guardians, as well as the student, are aware of the provisions of this policy.
