5110 - FULL-TIME STUDENT

A student shall be considered full-time if s/he is enrolled in a District-approved program, which constitutes full-time status based upon the needs of the individual. A resident student meeting our full-time requirements who attends another public school district will be counted as a School District resident.

Students in the Adams-Friendship Area School District will be considered full-time if they can be classified into one (1) or more of the following categories:

 A.A high school student scheduled for one-half (1/2) or more of the school day.

 B.A middle school student scheduled for one-half (1/2) or more of the school day.

 C.An elementary school student scheduled for the full school day. (Kindergarten students are considered for both full and one-half (1/2) time student status for membership count purposes dependent upon program choice of one-half (1/2) day or full day.) Four (4) year old preschool students attend four (4) days per week, with the 5th day for parent outreach/training/communication.

 D.A student with a disability in a prescribed program by an individualized educational program team.

 E.A student enrolled in an alternative education program or participating in other program or curriculum modifications (e.g. at-risk programming, personalized learning plans, homebound instruction, Section 504, LINC, IEP) approved by the student’s parent(s)/guardian and school officials consistent with State law and Board policies.

 F.A student on an approved work experience program.

 G.Resident students attending another public school district under full-time public school open enrollment program, for specific special education needs.

 H.Students involved in three (3) virtual education courses during a semester are considered full-time (three (3) HS credits or three (3) semester courses).
