To promote student's reading skills, the Board of Education directs the administration to prepare for Board approval a program of reading goals for students for grades kindergarten to 12.

The goals shall be based on an assessment of existing reading needs of students. Subsequently the students shall be assessed based on the reading goals.

The Director of Instruction in consultation with the District reading specialist shall annually prepare a report evaluating the reading curriculum of the School District and forward the report to the Board.
