It is the purpose of this policy to provide an alternative to out-of-school suspension. The availability of this option is dependent upon the financial ability of the Board of Education to support such a program.

In-school suspension will only be offered at the discretion of the administration for offenses found in the Student Code of Conduct.

In-school suspension will not be offered as an option when, in the opinion of the administration, the offense are criminal in nature or could be considered a threat to the safety of others.
