8410.01 - CRITICAL INCIDENT RESPONSE
The School Board believes that students, staff, and visitors are entitled to a safe and orderly school environment. Further, the Board recognizes the responsibility of planning in the event of a critical incident due to natural or man-made disasters.
When a threat to the safety of students and/or staff is identified, the response shall be in accordance with the school's or District's crisis plans. Given the sensitive and factual nature of this document, it is considered exempt as a public record.
The Superintendent shall promulgate procedures for each school to respond to potential critical incidents that may occur on school campuses, which includes District response to provide support and assistance with the management of a critical incident.
