2340.01 - NONSCHOOL-RELATED TRIPS
The following provisions shall apply to trips in which students and teachers voluntarily and individually participate and which are not sponsored, endorsed, or supported by the School Board or within the scope of the regular instructional program:
| A. | Trips shall be organized between the individual participants and any sponsoring agency; | |
| B. | The Board shall not be involved in the curriculum, itinerary, or selection of advisors for the trip; | |
| C. | Promotional activities shall not include the name of the individual school or Board; | |
| D. | All promotional activities should include the disclaimer that the proposed field trip is neither endorsed, sponsored, nor supported by the school or the Board; | |
| E. | School facilities may not be used for any meeting associated with a nonschool-related trip unless a facility or transportation use agreement has been completed; | |
| F. | Class time may not be used for planning, advertising, or soliciting such trips; and | |
| G. | Participation in such travel by employees and students shall be subject to the District's leave and attendance policies. |
